What is Integrative Medicine?

Integrative medicine is where we put it all together. It is healing-oriented medicine that takes account of the whole person (body, mind, and spirit), including all aspects of lifestyle. It emphasizes the therapeutic relationship and makes use of all appropriate therapies, both conventional and naturopathic.

If you’re already familiar with integrative medicine, functional medicine, or naturopathic medicine, then you probably already know something about whole-person modalities. The integrative model provides an architecture that helps organize and apply all that knowledge in a systematic way and dig deeper into the origins of disease and the determinants of health.

The Functional-Integrative-Naturopathic Medical model considers the diagnosis, of course, but also seeks to answer the question, “To what purpose does this person have this illness?” What are the underlying patterns and thought trends that have created this imbalance? The answer to this question is revealed by taking a good case history and appropriate testing to uncover what underlies symptoms, signs, illness behaviors, and demonstrable pathology. Chronic diseases often involve multiple organ systems, and this calls for a systematic method of viewing each patient and individualized therapies.

We take the information and results gathered on all levels and INTEGRATE. We have been serving the community 10 years.
